What’s your fondest climbing memory?

Likes to climb:

  • Boulders through and through
  • I love all styles of bouldering but nothing beats a board session with the crew

Why do you climb?

  • I climb for me! It’s great for my physical and mental health, allows me to connect with a community of truly amazing people, and gives me something to obsess over!

What are your climbing goals?

  • The big goal – 8A/V11 before I’m 35. Let’s get to work!

What’s your fondest climbing memory?

  • A few years ago standing on the top of my first major project – Gorilla Warfare V6. That thing cost me 2 pairs of shoes, 1 torn rotator cuff, 3 months of physio, and a summer of hard training. Nothing beats that feeling of finally beating the siege after putting in so much work!

Coach Marty

  • Intermediate Youth Clinic
  • One-on-One Coaching Sessions

  • 10 + years climbing, 2 years coaching
  • Once you get me talking about climbing, I simply will not stop
  •  I’ve developed a great deal of my skills by injuring myself an incredible amount when I was newer to climbing. You really do learn through failure

Likes to climb:

I’ll climb pretty much anything. I love slab mostly, but I’ve become more and more of a bouncy climber. Especially since I started setting.

Why do you climb?

The community & people I’ve met keep me coming back; and the active problem solving is incredibly engaging. I adore the feeling of having a quietened mind and being in the moment

What are your climbing goals?

I’m focused on steady and consistent improvement, both physically and mentally

What’s your fondest climbing memory?

Climbing a multipitch in the Blue Mountains with my brother. It started to rain on the last pitch and we had to quickly scramble out, pack up, and hike out to the car while it bucketed on our heads. It was wet and miserable at the time, but those are the kind of memories that you love to look back on.
