La Sportiva Boulder Battle Gosford Results
The La Sportiva Boulder Battle at Pulse Climbing Gosford on Saturday went off with a bang as climbers battled it out in Open A, Open B and Youth Divisions. The psych was high and the tunes were cranking from Pulse resident DJ Craig Dungey as the Open A Male and Female climbers got to work on some sweet qualifying boulders.
Next up was the Open B and Youth Boulderjam with climbers competing for prizes from our awesome sponsors Black Diamond, Edelrid and 8b+ The Agent Chalk. Congratulations to all climbers and a special congratulations for Pulse climbers Holly Jamieson, Aiden Dungey and Charlie Heath who all took out first place in their respective divisions.
The finale of the night was the Open A Finals which were conducted in a World Cup format on 8 of the coolest boulders you’ll see anywhere set by our star team of Chris Zaia, Ben Abel, Michael Tonon. With a finals field including climbers of the caliber of Emma Horan, Amy Dunlop, Xanthea Vazey, Jasmine Naghsh and Ola Radzanowska in the females and Tom Farrell, Elijah Mercado, Sam Healy, Yossi Sundakov-Krumins and Chase Gatland in the males we were always going to be in for an awesome spectacle. The climbers and the boulders they competed on did not disappoint, with an abundance of heart stopping and breath holding moments for everyone who was lucky enough to be a spectator.
A huge congratulations to our Open A podium finishers who shared $3000 cash donated by La Sportiva Australia and Pulse Climbing.
