Pulse Gosford hosts round 4 of the Sydney Boulder Series this Saturday

This Saturday 21st October, our Gosford facility will be closed for public climbing to enable us to run round 4 of the Sydney Boulder Series competition. So if you want to get your Pulse climbing fix this Saturday, you’ll either need to enter the comp or head to our Adamstown gym.

We invite climbers of all abilities and ages to take part in the competition.

The Sydney Boulder Series

The 2017 series is a five round regional competition designed to promote participation, enjoyment, skills and fitness levels in climbers. Our route-setters are committed to designing problems for all climbers and will be setting problems specifically for shorter and younger climbers.

Cost and Registration

All competitors must be members of Sports Climbing Australia. This costs $16 for a State level registration for the calendar year, or $57 for a national level registration. This should be done online before the event.

The entry fee for the day is $30 ($10 for youth E).

Categories

There are male and female categories in each of the following:

Open A

Open B

Rookie – climbing less than one year

Masters – born 1977 and before

Pumper

Youth A – born 2000/2001

Youth B – born 2002/2003

Youth C – born 2004/2005

Youth D – born 2006/2007

Youth E – born after 2007.

Timetable

11AM – Youth registrations open

12-2.00 – Youth climbing time

2.00 – Adult registrations open

2.30 – Youth presentations

3.00 – 5.30 – Adult climbing time

6.00 – Presentations.
