Gosford Grand Opening – Boulder Comp – May 13th
Pulse Climbing Gosford is kicking off our new facility with a bang on Saturday May 13th. We are hosting our first boulder comp with cold hard cash prizes and will be open from 9am at 8 Grieve Rd, West Gosford. Bring your mates and family in and have a climb and see what everyone is raving about!

Comp Categories
- Open A (Climbing V6+)
- Open B (Climbing V5 and lower)
- Youth 13 and Younger
Competition Formats
- Open B and Youth will both compete in a pumpfest format with no separate qualifying round.
- Open A will have a two hour pumpfest qualifying round, followed by the top six climbers going through to the finals. Finals – competition format and scoring. Points awarded for each of 4 problems. 4 minutes (Plus) per problem.
Timing
9am – 1pm – General public climbing
1pm – 3pm – Open A qualification Pumpfest
3.30pm – 5.30pm – Open B & Youth Pumpfest
5.30pm – Presentations Open B & Youth
6.30pm – 8.30pm – Open A Finals
8.30pm – Open A Presentations
Prizes
Open A 1st place $500, 2nd Place $200, 3rd place $100
Open B and Youth – Climbing gear and merchandise packs supplied by the competition sponsors will be given to the top three placed competitors.
There will be heaps of lucky door prizes given away throughout the day!
Entry Fee $30 for all categories*
*No cost for spectators. Normal entry costs for general public climbing (9am – 1pm)
